Is SKIMS Worth it? A Guideline on All Things SKIMS
SKIMS has easily become a well-known brand in the clothing industry. Known for their popular shapewear, SKIMS has quickly branched out to lounge wear, lingerie, swim and clothing. SKIMS has changed the game with its innovative technology when it comes to making anyone feel and look great in what they are wearing. But along with their steep price tag, many people wonder if SKIMS is worth it.
As someone who has collected a good amount of SKIMS shapewear, clothing, & intimate apparel, I am here to give you all the details on all things SKIMS. Hopefully this review will give you a great insight on whether or not SKIMS is worth it and if you should invest your money on it.

Guideline On All Things SKIMS
When you go to the SKIMS website, you can see that their products are easily categorized based on the product. The categories consist of New Products, Best Sellars, SWIM, The Panty Shop, Bras, Underwear, Clothing & Lounge, and Shapewear.
If you are new at shopping for SKIMS, the first place that I like to look is best sellers. Best sellers gives you list of products that have been highly rated and recommended. You will see that a lot of these items include essential items like comfy bras and panties, essential basic items like body suits and t-shirts, and a lot of viral items that you see all over Instagram and TikTok.
Another great place to explore is the Collections category. Here you can find what you are looking for based on a certain collection. I find that the website is easy to maneuver and shop from.
Collections
Although I do not own every collection from the SKIMS brand, I do have a good variety of some of their collections to give a good insight on fit, look, style and support.
I also apologize if a lot of the items are sold out, but the SKIMS website does a really good job at keeping all of their staples & best sellers stocked. A lot of their colored items are usually limited addition, but there are endless options when it comes to all of their neutral colors.
FITS EVERYONE
The Fits Everyone line includes underwear, bras, tops, bodysuits, & dresses. The Fits Everyone line is by far one of the most popular collections from SKIMS.
All the items under Fits Everyone have an amazing stretch, hence the name Fits Everyone. When you take any item from this line, you can easily double the size by simply stretching it out. This allows the item to fit your body perfectly.
Made from 76% Polyamide and 24% Elastane, this type of material forms really well over your body, no matter the type. The sizes range from xxs-4x
This line has a great stretch but still leaves you feeling supported. This line is like Facetune for your body because it does an awesome job at smoothing everything out, which I love.
Fits Everybody Collection | SKIMS
SOFT LOUNGE
I think that the Soft Lounge collection is one of the best materials that SKIMS offers. Made from 91% Modal & 9% Spandex, this material is so buttery soft and feels amazing on my skin.
When I put on anything from the Soft Lounge collection, I feel so relaxed and comfortable. The Soft Lounge collection consists of tanks, boxer shorts, dresses, onesies, pants, pajamas, and robes. The sizes range from xxs-4x.
SKIMS viral Soft Lounge Long Slip dress is one of the pieces of this collection, and I can easily see why it went viral. The dress forms very nicely over anyone’s body and it simply looks beautiful when anyone wears it.
COTTON
The Cotton collection is another collection that I find super comfy. Made from 95% Cotton and 5% Spandex, the items under the Cotton collection have a great stretch and fits amazing on your body. Most of the items in this collection is ribbed, which I find very flattering.
Items under the Cotton collection consist of bras, underwear, tanks, t-shirts, bodysuits, long sleeve shirts, boxers and leggings.
This collection comes with a variety of essential colors like bone, heather grey, and onyx. Just like the other collections, the sizes range from xxs-4x.
You will see that a lot of these collections have an amazing stretch. This is great because it provides comfort while also contouring your body at the same time.
BOYFRIEND
The Boyfriend collection features oversized loungewear that is inspired by your boyfriend’s favorite lounge pieces.
This collection is very oversized, so I like to size down. If you like the natural oversized look then you can choose your regular go to size.
Made from 47% Cotton, 48% Modal, and 5% Spandex, the Boyfriend collection provides a relaxed fit without feeling constricted.
This collection has a variety of crop tanks, boxer shorts, t-shirts, and pants. The boyfriend collection comes in a variety of go to colors like light heather grey, marble and onyx. There are also a few limited addition colors that you can choose from as well. The sizes range from xxs-4x.
SEAMLESS SCULPT
This collection features the viral Sculpting Bodysuit that you see everywhere. The Seamless Sculp collection features a variety of shapewear to solve all of your wardrobe problems.
Made from 78 Nylon & 22% Spandex, this shapewear really smooths out your body. I love how this shapewear sucks me in and makes anything that I wear flattering.
The Seamless Sculpt line comes with a wide range of shapewear to help target specific body type issues. Some items include, Solution Shorts, Open Bust Bodysuit, and Low` Back Thong Bodysuit.
The sizes range from xxs to 4x, and it does a really good job at flattering any body type. This line gives a strong support and does a great job at smoothing everything out. This shapewear is also amazing because it comes in several different types of skin tones, so you will be able to find your perfect match!
SWIM
The SKIMS Swim line comes with a variety of styles & materials. I like their standard swim line and find that it is really comfortable.
The SKIMS swim line comes with a wide range of swimsuits. Some items are super skimpy, while other swimsuits provide a lot of coverage. There is something for everyone.
I also love that SKIMS Swim collection comes with a wide range of coverups to provide extra coverage if needed.
Most of their swim line is made from 76% Recycled Nylon and 24% spandex, and the sizes range from xxs-4x. The great thing about the SKIMS Swim line is that they come in virtually any color that you could want. There are bright neon colors, pastel, and neutral skin tone colors as well.
COTTON FLEECE
The Cotton Fleece collection is made with very soft fleece material. This collection is very comfortable and non-constrictive, which I love! Sometimes, I do not want to wear something tight, so the Cotton Fleece collection is a great to have.
This collection is made from 80% cotton and 20% Polyester. This line ranges from comfy sweats to pull over hoodies.
The Cotton Fleece collection run a little big, so I sized down to get a great fit. The sizes range from xxs to 4x.
LOGO POINTELLE
The Logo Pointelle collection is a super cute and feminine collection that has the SKIMS logo imprinted on the material. This collection is very soft and very comfortable to wear.
There are different colors that you can choose from, and the items are very flattering to wear. Items under the Logo Pointelle collection includes pants, tops, onesies, and shorts.
The material is made from 96% cotton and 4% Spandex, and the sizes range from xxs-4x. This collection is great for when you want to be cute while lounging around the house.
COTTON SLEEP
The cotton sleep collection is another one of my favorites. All of these items are super comfortable to sleep in. Made from 90% cotton and 10% spandex, this material is super light, thin, and breathable.
The line includes items like tops, shorts, dresses, and pants. I love going to bed wearing these items because they make me feel so comfortable.
The sizes range from xxs-4x. This collection also has a really good stretch, which I love a lot. This collection like the others is very flattering and it fits your body just right.
OUTDOOR
The Outdoor collection is just what the name says, the items are especially created for you to wear outside. A lot of SKIMS pieces are loungewear, so you may not want to wear them outside your home. But this collection is great for when you’re running errands, hiking, or doing something that you love.
The outdoor collection has pants, leggings, shorts, skirts and dresses. This is another collection that I find to be very comfortable.
The Outdoor collection is made from 74 % cotton, 18% polyester, & 8% spandex. The material is a lot thicker, so you do not have to worry about it being see through. The sizes run from xxs-4x.
I love these pants from this collection. Not only are they very comfortable, but they are super stylish as well. The bottom part of the pants is flared so they are super trendy. Every time I wear these pants, I get so many compliments.
COZY
The Cozy collection is a super comfortable ‘teddy’ like material that provide warmth and makes you feel super comfortable. This collection is perfect for lounging around the house during colder weather.
The material is made from 76% Polyester & 24% Nylon. When I wear items from this collection, it feels like I am wearing a cozy blanket.
Items under the Cozy collection range from tops, to bottoms, to pullovers. These items are definitely a staple loungewear items.
Final Thought: Is SKIMS worth it?
Skims has easily become a staple piece in my wardrobe. I come back to it time and time again because the material is really good, and I find that most of their pieces are comfortable to wear.
I love how inclusive SKIMS is, and they take account of everyone’s body type when creating their items. There is a size for everyone, so no one feels left out.
I also love how beautiful SKIMS make you look and feel. SKIMS has a way of flattering all of the right body parts.
So, is SKIMS worth it? If you have the extra money, I definitely think you should try out some of their essential items to get a good idea if you like their products or not.
The great thing is some of SKIMS items can be found in Nordstrom, so definitely go feel and try the items on. I love SKIMS, and I definitely will continue to buy their products. SKIMS is worth it because the pieces last for a long time. I have washed my SKIMS over and over again, and they hold up really well.
Definitely do your research and look at SKIMS in the store, and hopefully you will find something that you love!
